National Immunization Awareness Month

August’s Monthly Initiative is National Immunization Month.

During this month, the Chronic Care Coordinators, whom are Registered Nurses, have been informing patients about the importance of Immunizations. The CCCs discuss essential vaccination information for older adults, which include the important risk factors that patients need to be aware of to help prevent and protect them from certain illnesses.

The CCCs touch base on the different types of vaccinations that can help prevent older adults from specific illnesses such as:

  • Influenza viruses
  • Pneumococcal bacteria
  • Tetanus
  • Diphtheria
  • Shingles
  • And much more.

Wellbox encourages patients to educate themselves on the benefits of vaccinating. Our goal is to help your patients prevent the risk of developing these illnesses.
