March is colorectal cancer awareness month. Doctors and other medical professionals are urging patients to get colorectal cancer screenings at this time.
To support this effort, our care coordinators are opening the conversation with patients surrounding the benefits of screenings and identifying risk factors of colorectal cancer.
Going beyond this, care coordinators are also taking the time to explain the possible symptoms linked to colorectal polyps or colorectal cancer such as blood in or on their stool, stomach pains and unexplainable weight loss.
We want your patients to have all the facts and understand the various tests they can take to ensure they stay on top of their health.
